The evil Zylons are attempting a takeover of the galaxy, and it's up to you to stop them. Your mission is to fly from quadrant to quadrant, battling enemies like Kogalon star pirates, Cobra ships, and Mechnoids, while protecting your planets from invasion and rescuing stranded space cadets from Zylon controlled worlds.<br><br>Your ship is equipped with a powerful warp engine and a galactic scanner that allows you to plot a course through the darkness of space. Pay close attention to the scanner; it will tell you the location of enemies, wormholes, docking bays and federation planets.

    One of the best looking games on the 2600.

    I'd swear this was a 7800 game if I didn't know better. It looks incredible for the console. It's also much deeper than 2600 games usually are. There is a galaxy map separated into different sections. You travel across the galaxy, to planets to refuel and rescue people, and to hostile zones to engage in space battles. Aliens will attack a planet and you have to defeat them before they destroy it, which gives them control over that solar system. Wherever they are in control, the players controls are reversed, making the game more difficult. The galaxy is very large, so you'll probably need to find a map of it somewhere online to know where to go. It's a hard and intense game, but also very fun. It's even better if you use a SEGA Genesis controller.
